I'm Happy. Honest.

So lately I've been writing myself into and odd niche. The past six months and the past few projects (that weren't the book) have been fairly dark. No matter the spirit I start in, it slowly bends and twists into some sort of macabre offering. If this keeps up, I'm going to cement my reputation as "the dark one" of my writing guild. Hmm. Actually, as far as titles go, that one is pretty badass.

Ahem. A friend says that it's a subconscious outlet, an untapped fount. I'm not sure how to feel about that idea.

  1. Writing dark isn't an outlook on who you are. I'm a very nice person, honest. I'm sure some who read my shorts wonder about that though, lol.

  2. Embrace your dark side, just do it only on paper. First reader comments for my novel were along the lines of "this woman is in serious need of therapy." But I'm not, really. Let the dark out. You may write something that amazes you. Or you can always edit it later to bring out the lighter side.

If it bothers your group, you can always hang out with the rest of us sickos. *grin*

  3. Cher-Yeah, the reputation would have been awesome in my younger years. I like messing with outlooks. :D

Jaleta-The group is rather amused with the tangent. I'll still gladly have out with the "sickos," though.
